King Arthur Walk, Tintagel – oil painting

I worked this painting up from colour studies and sketches. I tried to depict the wonderful clean light and bright colours of Cornwall, such as the pure cobalt green of the sea.

I have holidayed in Cornwall and Devon since a child and I am still drawn back: I will be packing the pochade box, in the campervan, and heading down there this summer for a bit of plein air painting.
