Object Identity: Lockdown Beer Can Litter

Went for a morning walk to get some exercise and along my route documented another four cans littering the streets. Even Covid 19 has not stopped some people littering!

In the UK, approximately 72% of aluminium cans are recycled and 67.7% of glass is recycled.

Unlike PET plastic bottles, aluminum cans can be recycled again and again with no loss of quality.

Processing used aluminum requires about 90% less energy and generates 90% fewer carbon emissions than making new aluminum out of bauxite.
