Summer Reflections, Byron’s Pool

I worked this painting up from sketches and studies made during a lovely summer walk through Byron’s Pool local nature reserve. The walk took me along the bank of the River Cam, through a varied woodland including; horse chestnut, beech, ash, oak and wych elm, and then on past the Trumpington Meadows.

The pool is named after Lord Byron who swam there.
