Decided to take a painting and camping trip to West and East Runton in early October where I made a number sketches and plein air painting studies. During the second night of camping a storm hit the coast with high winds and driving rain. The following morning, as the storm cleared, I set off for West Runton beach to record the unusual light and clouds.
I used acrylics as I wanted to work quick, building up layers and literally throwing paint at the panel.
